The Freedmen’s Bureau revival is being led by Tieira Ryder, a progressive American woman in grassroots space that is committed full-time to structural & impactful policy changes + implementation at the local, state, and federal levels. It is believed that with the re-establishment of the Freedmen’s Bureau, the Freedmen will be able to connect Black American networks & create systems of opportunity + tangibles for generations to come and that by doing so the Freedmen will reduce dependency on undemocratic & unreliable systems.

This fundraiser will support the grassroots effort to advocate full-time on behalf of the Bureau, will create working sessions with American Freedmen to outline structural components of the Bureau, will actively work in the SoCal region to support Black-led community-based sustainable food + housing models (CLTs) to keep Black American residents affordably housed especially until repair is made, and a portion will also go into a secure Freedmen trust account for direct collective Freedmen needs. At this time, donations are not being accepted by investment firms.

Receipts will be provided annually through Freedmen records keeping and it is the goal of the campaign creator to create a system that will allow those who donate to write off their donations as well as receive notable recognition for their work in helping to restore the American Freedmen’s position as an Indigenous American population. Along with cash donations we are accepting donations of digital currency + land assets in the SoCal region. The large majority of digital currency + land donations will belong to the collective Freedmen trust. We are happy to answer any questions, please use the contact form to reach out
