The Freedmen’s Bureau revival is being led by Tieira Ryder, a progressive American woman in grassroots space that is committed full-time to structural & impactful policy changes + implementation at the local, state, and federal levels. It is believed that with the re-establishment of the Freedmen’s Bureau, the Freedmen descendants will be able to connect Black American networks & create systems of opportunity + tangibles for generations to come and by doing so the Freedmen will reduce dependency on undemocratic & unreliable systems.
This fundraiser will support the grassroots effort to advocate full-time on behalf of the Bureau. Donations will be used to cover basic admin costs that will not exceed more than 20% of the total donation fund, will support the effort to bring forward a class action lawsuit for restorative justice that is owed to Black American Freedmen who do have the right to redress the government, will support the effort to secure a trust account in order to place a portion of funding in so that it can be used towards direct tangibles for Freedmen descendants including a UBI payment, will support the effort to work to rebuild existing Freedmen towns & systems and to establish new intentional towns in order to continue the work of reconstruction which is imperative for a healthy America.
Receipts will be provided annually in the summer through Freedmen records keeping and it is the goal of the campaign creator to create a system that will allow those who donate to write off their donations as well as receive notable recognition for their work in helping to restore the American Freedmen’s position as an Indigenous American population. We are also accepting donations of digital currency + land assets in the United States region. The large majority of digital currency + land donations will belong to the collective Freedmen trust.
